Whitehorse Yukon Arctic Winter Games (Feb 24 - March 10) - 1,000 athletes and cultural delegates come together for multinational, multicultural, multisport event in the circumpolar north.

Yukon Quest Intl. Dog Sled Race (February) - 30 international dog teams compete in the 'toughest sled dog race in the world', a 1,600 km dash from Whitehorse, Yukon to Fairbanks, Alaska.

Sourdough Rendezvous Festival (mid Feb) - Whitehorse hosts one of the wackiest winter festivals on the continent.
