Northwest Territories
Looking for a unique meeting venure or incentive destination? You can’t beat Canada’s true North with its northern lights, stark landscape, and 24-hour summer days. The frontier spans seven ecological zones from boreal forest to raw arctic tundra.
Almost half of NWT's inhabitants are First Nation's Dene, Inuvialuit and Metis. Groups can experience their cultures through visiting traditional camps, where they can take part in a drum dance, native-guided activities and festivals.
The territory's largest city, and gateway to Canada's North, is Yellowknife, approximately a two-hour flight from Edmonton or Calgary. This modern city, located on a peninsula in Great Slave Lake, lies on the doorstep of the Great Outdoors. The city is full of contrasts, a place where groups can feast on caribou steaks and caviar, stay in log cabins or top-class hotels, ride dog sleds or high-speed jets. Yellowknife has approximately 620 hotels rooms.
