New Brunswick
Seaside cities welcome visitors with hometown hospitality while convention friendly towns like St Andrews by-the-Sea are luxurious getaway destinations your clients will love.
The Bay of Fundy, with tides that surge and plunge the height of a four-storey building, is one of the marine wonders of the world. The Hopewell Rocks show groups this phenomenon first-hand - at low tide it's possible to walk across the ocean floor to these towering sculptures gouged out of cliffs, and at high tide groups can kayak past them when they are almost completely submerged. During the summer the Bay attracts around 15 different species of whale including the rare Northern right whale, and provides groups with fabulous opportunities for whale watching.
The gateway to New Brunswick, and Canada's oldest incorporated city, is Saint John. Attractions include its colourful Old City Market, New Brunswick Museum, and Saint John Reversing Falls, where twice a day the relentless tides force the Saint John River to turn upstream.
New Brunswick cultural heritage is influenced by First Nation's people, the French Acadians and British Loyalists. A visit to the King's Landing Historical Settlement near Fredericton lets groups re-enact life in a 19th Century loyalist village.
